You’ve more than likely read and laughed at Scott Adams’ Dilbert cartoon strip. It’s great stuff and Adams is one of the cartooning success stories of recent decades.
Anyway, on his blog this week, he’s posted a series of photo’s that show how he goes about the process of creating his work.
Working in his PJ’s, while […]
Just a couple of sites that might be useful to you or some of the younger variety in your house:
1. http://www.kidcartoonists.com/ is a site devoted to kids who can all draw better than me. Quoting from the site:
Kid Cartoonists is a weblog for anyone under the age of 18 to submit and display their cartoons. […]
I stumbled across Toon Brew while procrastinating instead of drawing. Neal is a librarian who doesn’t draw (yet) but knows more about cartoons and their history than seems safe!
There’s a great series on Brainstorming Comic Strip Ideas that covers everything from doodling to mind mapping. Fascinating.
Neal describes the development of his love as cartoons like […]
I got an email from these guys today and just took a bit of a browse through the site. There’s some great stuff there and some good competitions that would be worth entering if you have the time.

There are literally thousands of pieces of art for sale, so it must be working for somebody!

Basically I shared some of the things I had learnt about generating a secondary income through my website by using the different forms of advertising you see scattered around Chewing Pencils.
I’m still a learner when it comes to this […]
Megan Jeffery celebrated 17 years in freelance work by posting 17 things she’s learnt from her years in the business. It’s a fantastic list, with many themes similar to those I’ve mentioned here.
Go and check out Megan’s post and take a look around her site as well. She’s a talented girl!
I stumbled across Adam Phillips’ animation project today - 30 Days: 30 Shorts.
Put simply, it’s brilliant!!
Thirty brief animations produced in thirty days. I’d be happy if I could produce one of that quality in the same time! If you haven’t already, check it out here.
Number 6 is my favourite…
Just because we can…and so we can all show off a little bit, leave the following in the comments section:
