Halloween Drawing Project Winner Announced!
Published by Matt Glover December 21st, 2007 in Group Projects
Mark Anderson, our judge for the Christmas Cartoon Drawing Project kindly agreed to cast his eye over the Halloween entries and select a winner for us.
Congratulations to John Daiker of JDCartoons for this cheery little number!
Here’s what Mark had to say:
I dunno what it is about this one exactly, but I found myself going back to it again and again. It’s one of those where you can’t really say “here is the joke and here’s why it’s funny,” but it just is.
And the art is great! Love the carrot!
Congratulations again John from all at Chewing Pencils!

Excellent!
Thank you so much!
I’m really jazzed about this…I visit Mark Anderson and Mike Lynch’s blogs daily!
Thank you so much, you guys rock!
I agree with Mark’s assessment–it’s just funny. One of my first thoughts was “Why a carrot? (or a squash for that matter)” then it struck me that a carrot is no less ridiculous than having a pumpkin for a head. Nice, clean style, John. Congrats.
