I have been a bit slack lately in the toon area. I have been painting pet portraits although I'm done with that for now. I'm working on a web site but am having trouble with it for I don't have a clue what I'm doing.

Being disabled with back problems I use a scooter. I have a gallery that Pride Mobility (a manufacturer of Motorized Scooters and Wheelchairs in the US and International) has permitted me to have on their web site forum.

http://webtalk.pridemobility.com/gallery/browseimages.php?c=4

I also do toons for a Men's Fibromyalgia site even though I'm a girl they let me poke fun at them.

http://www.menwithfibro.com/html/fibrotoons.html

I get so frustrated and discouraged when I submit something and I get wonderful flowing reviews and promises then nothing happens. I'm new at all of this.

My heart really to do God related cartoons I don't have a clue what or where to do that either.

Thanks for asking for updates, Matt, a great idea. Sounds like you're the busiest of us all, and hopefully you're finding that a good thing--your list of projects is pretty impressive, anyway!

I'm busy, but pleasantly so. I just finished a cartoon for a day calendar, I have a monthly I draw for, and that's up to date--I draw for another zine that's just going to electronic format, I owe them something but it's not due until December sometime. In the meantime, I'm doing the usual submissions of cartoons and humour pieces to other markets, and have started selling my cartoon art at craft shows. I think that's it for now. Hope all is well for everyone out there in cartoon-land!

One of my repeat clients ordered another couple of cartoons (that will be made into large posters for a police station). It's a fun project but some times it gets a bit frustrating because they are not very specific with their instructions, causing me to assume that I have free will... But then they say "No no, we wanted it like this..."

Oh well, at least they say it nicely.

This has been the busiest year workwise for as long as I can remember so the cartooning projects haven't progressed where I had hoped, but managing to keep my eye on chewingpencils (although missed the Halloween comp darn it!).

Have been drawing my butt off though and am really happy with how the cartooning is going, and have lined up those projects (Photoshop course) to happen very soon and am looking forward to that.

Just wanted to quickly touch base and say hi!!!!!

Hi, Matt. I've just started up my cartoon site thenutbankfiles.com as of two weeks ago, and even though i am a novice at this computer stuff i certainly am having some fun with it. I work full time and do my cartoons whenever i get the chance mainly....but as i have a strip on my site which is produced every tuesday and thursday, as well as a single panel cartoon on the front page, I do have to manage my time well. but as we know, anything worth doing you find time for....Anyway you sound like you are going to be very busy soon if not now, so keep up the good work on chewing pencils. Cheers

I usually have quite a bit on my drawing board weekly. Here's a quick rundown.
I produce three cartoon strips FIDDLESTIX, IT'S AJUNGLE OUT THERE, and The Bad Apples. Plus I am an editorial cartoonist for The National Free Press, I'll usually do between three to five editorial one-shots weekly. The FIDDLESTIX strips, and the Bushwhacked editorial one-shots are syndicated through Newsblaze. The Bad Apples runs exclusively across Canada through The National Free Press. IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE is still in the production phase. I also run some of the toons in comics over in the U.K. The link on my moniker should take you to The National Free Press. If you sign up for a free membership, you will be upgraded to a PublicPLUS account for free (Limited upgrade memberships left) then you will be able to comment on the editorial toons, plus have access to my profile where you can get links to all my various cartoon projects.
