Your strangest customer…
Published by Matt Glover August 23rd, 2007 in MarketsIf you’ve been drawing for a while, you will quickly realise that the niche markets are where the money can be made.
But let me tell you a little secret here…people that occupy these niche markets are, well, a little bit niche themselves.
Put more bluntly, they’re strange. They make strange enquiries. They use your work in strange places. They’re hard to comprehend a lot of the time.
Fortunately, the money is most definately normal!
So what has been the strangest client or request that you have come across in your career so far?
For me, a group of blokes from a local sporting team had some how made it to the finals of their competition. In a drunken celebration, they made a pact to get a tattoo that reflected the name of their team - the Giant Clams. I did the cartoon, but never heard if they actually went ahead and had it tattoed on their bodies. Nor do I know if they won the grand final!
Over to you…
