Tom’s Digital Color Tutorial
Published by Matt Glover April 5th, 2007 in How to Draw
There are many reasons I hate Tom Richmond.
The first is that while he is older than me, he has a full head of hair, is good looking and has a great build.
The second is he is incredibly talented and can produce work that I can only dream of.
Thirdly, he’s just completed a three part tutorial on how he colors his work. The tutorial is in three parts and includes all the intricate details you’ll need to use Photoshop to it’s fullest extent and produce some really professional looking work.
Seriously though, it is a marvellous piece of writing and the sort of informations you’re never likely to find in any art book. When you get a chance, set aside half an hour or so and read part one, part two and part three.
And here’s the inking tutorial from a few months ago: part one and part two.
PS: My back is still killing me…I’ll get around to some more meaty posts soon.
