This work is as good or better than anything out out there in the cartoon media . . the layout, the simplicity, the staging, the rendering . . it's fresh and appealing and a joy to experience!

Very nice work! The shadow effect caused by the cat is extremelly effective. Also the size of both the role of sticky tape and pencil add realism to the fact the mice have done the artwork. I also enjoy the other drafts that have been left on the floor. I wonder what kind of stationary Matt has used for the wash/colouring? Excellent work!

[...] Confirming his reputation though, Matt has offered one of his original cartoons as first prize for the winning submission. I’ll post the cartoon in the next few weeks, but let me say now, it’s classic Golding and will look great in your studio. Heck, it would look great in your lounge room for that matter!
