Some Reading Material for Cartoonists.

One of the things I really appreciate about the professional organisation that I am a member of is the quarterly magazine Inkspot.
It’ always good to hear what’s going on in the lives of some of your cartooning buddies, but the real benefit comes from the shared knowlege and opinions given about cartooning and illustration issues.
For instance, the edition pictured to the left has some fascinating articles about the the Danish cartoon riots from earlier this year and discussion about censorship in general. Of course, there are also sensational examples of member’s work that always have me salivating with envy.
Anyway, back issues of Inkspot are available here and are well worth taking the time to read through. Some of the articles are Aussie based, but there are contributions from all around the world.
And if you want to receive the latest edition in your hands hot of the press, join up! The Australian Cartoonists’ Association has associate, full and overseas memberships available.
