i just discovered your blog and i love it. i still have much to read. i'm in an office job and really just dying to walk out. i've replied to many a craigslist ad for cartooning (i am already published in a niche market by two magazines) but no response!
i am looking for some independent feedback on my tiny portfolio site... if you have a moment, i would appreciate it!
thanks!

[...] I will also be assuming that you have you have both a folio and website. Without these you stand little chance of making it in the current cartooning climate. [...]

Scan and copy GEOvanne! I'm too lazy to draw over and over again!

I can't speak for all editors, but my guess is that the big black case is still the way to go. While it's a pain for you, it's easier for the editor to view quickly.

in tip 7. when you said to use reproductions, does that mean i have to draw the thing over or can i just scan and copy the thing?

btw, great site, i'm still in school, but the tips you gave will sure come in handy. oh yeah, i was wondering, can you folio be on a jump drive instead luging around a big black case?
