Converting Pantone to RGB/HEX
Published by Matt Glover June 18th, 2006 in Colour and Color, Online ToolsWhen requesting a colour piece of artwork, often a client will specify the colours they want by quoting a series of numbers from a particular colour system. Often these might be corporate colours or some combination that is specifically requested to create a response in those that see the work.
I’ll post more about colour in coming months (it’s a confusing topic!) but for now, here’s a handy site that will convert colours from the Pantone Colour System to RGB or HEX values that are commonly used in computer software. (Go to your colour pallette and you’ll see RGB or HEX values listed somewhere).
There are numerous sites on the web that will do this, and most will slightly differ in their RGB/HEX results. However, I think this site is one of the easiest to use.
